I'm in! I got the email! Words cannot express how grateful I am to finally accomplish this milestone. God is beyond good. I know he loves me! While I was waiting for my acceptance letter there was a lot of anxiety because I would watch the nursing forums and I could see other people getting acceptance letters. It made me wonder if the classes were going to fill up before they even considered me. I hope this helps future applicants gauge their likelihood of being accepted into Miami Dade College's nursing program.
They take into account three factors for admission. Cumulative GPA, Science GPA, and TEAS score. These are my stats: 1. Cumulative GPA - 3.07 2. Science GPA - 3.4 3. TEAS - 76.7 On June 16, 2021 at 12:23 pm I received my acceptance letter into the Generic Full Time Nursing Program at the Medical Campus. I was at work. I stepped out of my office to resolve an issue and when I came back I saw the nursing admit email address and the next word I saw was Congratulations! I squeeled. Not screamed, not shouted, not yelled. I squeeled. I don't think I have ever had such a joyous reaction to any news in my life. I've been through a lot to get to this point. I got pregnant in the beginning of taking my prereqs. I gave birth in the middle of my microbiology lecture and lab classes. I became a victim / survivor of domestic violence while taking statistics. Now I am at the start of a divorce. None of this has deterred me. God gave me the strength to keep moving forward. I can't tell you how many times I almost failed a class and thought this journey is coming to an end. You have to keep pushing. You must believe in yourself. Wake up early. Go to bed late. Do whatever it takes. Whatever life throws at you I promise you can handle it. Just never give up. XOXO, T
