Wow! Writing that title is surreal. I cannot believe I have been in nursing school for 10 weeks. In 10 weeks I've crammed so much knowledge into my cranium. Taking 5 classes, working full time, being a mom, and doing a weight loss journey is no easy task my friend.
Fundies: this class is the foundation of the whole program and of course first semester. Everything we learn in this class compliments our other classes. This class requires so much reading. I mean like hours and hours worth of reading every week. It's so much. I passes exam one with an 86, exam 2 with a 90, and I failed the midterm with a 75. Next week we take practice test A in ATI and I am ready for it. I've also been brushing up on the chapters coming up for exam # 3 and I ready for it. Skills: this class is easy. Everything we learn in fundies we do hands on in this class. We just finished med administration so we really feel like nurses now. It's kind of amazing. I passed the first exam with an 80, and I have my med administration practical exam coming up in a few days. Clinical: we are not in the hospital yet, but my professor is doing an amazing job of getting us the experience and hands on that we are so desperate for. I've learned how to act around patients, tailor my questions for the individual, and critical think. Health Assessment: I got a 95 on my first exam, I killed it on the practical exam, and I'm gearing up to kill it on exam # 2. This class is hard because there is much anatomy. So much. I'm relearning everything. Thank you Science with Susanna :) Nursing math and pharm: This class was a breeze. Dimensional Analysis is totally in my wheelhouse so this class was like a breath of fresh air. I got a 94 on the first exam, 100 on the second, 90 on the third, and 92 on the final. Whoop whoop! I passed my first nursing school class. I'ma be a nurse ya'll!!! Catch me on Youtube for a week in my life and semester recap vids. I'm kinda hilarious :) https://www.youtube.com/user/MzTamaraAnn/videos
